Wii

Nostalgia is a fickle mistress. Nintendo ought to know – the company has pandered to her every whim and desire for the last ten years. Their Virtual Console catalogue and New Play Control! series have brought numerous old titles back into vogue (with a few horrifically abortive exceptions), and earlier this year at E3, the company announced that one of its most iconic landmarks is finally being re-imagined for the Wii.

You’d be hard pressed to find anyone with a bad word to say about Super Mario Galaxy. With its stunning visuals, inspired puzzle mechanics and full orchestral score, it was an absolute tour de force of game design. If Super Mario 64 was 3D platforming’s courageous overture, Galaxy was surely its thundering climax – the culmination of Mario’s twenty-five year history and the evolutionary pinnacle of the genre. Nintendo fans across the world fell to their knees and wept uncontrollably.

Kirby's latest adventure is coming Nerds! After nearly 9 years of being on haitus since his last game back  in 2001 on the N64 (Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards), the hungry pink blob is set to make his return on the Nintendo Wii in the next 12 months. According to Nintendo's latest schedule, the game will be titled Hoshi no Kirby (or Kirby of the Stars in English). It's been listed alongside the new Legend of Zelda, as part of Nintendo's financial results briefing.  Looks like Kirby is off to a brand new start and its about time Nintendo, what took you guys so long?

Metroid: Other M is turning out to be one of the best games I’ve ever seen on the Wii when it comes to graphics. A new gameplay trailer for the upcoming title has been released and by the time you’re all done watching it, you'll all agree with me that it’s pretty sick!

Who remembers that first person shooter game that was supposed to be awesome for the Wii? Yeah, I am talking about The Conduit!  It seems Nintendo Power has officially spilled the beans today that a sequel, The Conduit 2, was in the works after being hinted in this year GDC 2010.
