First with the Nintendo Wii, and now the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the way we play games is being revolutionized. Although more times than not, companies and developers do not apply these innovations to the games in a way that gamers first expected, such as with the Wii’s control devices. One would think that from the days of the NES Zapper and Duck Hunt, admittedly a fun first-person shooter, we would have evolved in how we play an FPS. The sad thing is that we really haven’t come that far in almost two decades, but things are starting to look brighter for those who enjoy a good shooter, and an interactive one at that.
